I've
been in the painting business for almost 15 years.
One thing that I have learned throughout the years
is that you absolutely must market your business if
you want to be successful. I used to believe that
if we did a great job the customers would come. I
didn't need to market, so I thought. While that is
true to some extent, if they (meaning the general
public) don't know
you're there or if you don't ask your current clients
to refer you, they'll ignore and forget about you
and they won't call. I've also learned that the absolute
best marketing you could do is to your current clients.
The trick in any business is getting the time to do
just that, market to your current clients. This is
where NAPP comes in. Knowing that by simply entering
a
little information about my client on the NAPP website
and that they'll be contacted for the next 3 years
is worth a heck of a lot more than the price that
NAPP asks for. It's well worth the price!
Any
contractor who has been at this for any amount of
time will tell you that repeat and referral business
is by far the very best you can get. NAPP will help
you get all the repeat and referral business you can
handle.
Although
I have only been with NAPP for a short time I truly
believe that this system is one of the best things
I have done for my business (right up there with becoming
a 1-800-PAINT-JOB affiliate).
